Campsites
Two rustic campsites serve as staging areas to the remote backcountry and as destinations for campers. Camping is permitted at these designated sites.  Nu Chugh Beniz campground located at the south-end of Chilko Lake is reached via Hanceville with sixteen defined sites. There are eight rustic sites at Gwa Da Ts'ih campground located at the north-end of Chilko Lake (via Tatla Lake).  Facilities at both campgrounds include water pumps, tables, fire rings, pit toilets, and limited firewood. Note: Due to bear hazards, Gwa Da Ts'ih campground may be closed during salmon spawning season (mid-August to mid-October). For more information see the BC Parks website at www.gov.bc.ca/parks.
